Pruett Legacy Series
Three Sets of Wine respresenting three decades of Scott's career
-
Dear family, friends and fans,
We have some exciting news to share, it’s called ‘The Legacy Series’.
First, please allow me to give you a little backstory on how this has come to fruition.
I began racing Go-Karts when I was eight years old and continued to do so for 17 years, both non-professionally and professionally, with great success. I loved racing and was always working towards the next step. How to move up into the “big” cars and series.
In those days you had to perform well to catch people’s attention, then you had to knock on doors, write letters and make phone calls…over and over. The road wasn’t always easy. In fact, it has been made up of every unpredictable experience you could imagine. It required a lot of determination, tough skin, tenacity and God’s grace to survive a 50 year career doing what I love. “God bless the broken road…”
In the early 90’s/2000’s, my wife, Judy and I became interested in wine. Not only wine, but viticulture. The science and art behind what’s in the bottle. That interest continued to grow and in 2005, after researching the soil, climate, etc. of our property in Northern California, we decided to plant some vines. To immerse ourselves in the romance and history of wine making and take a shot at creating something special.
Judy says I went at it like I do racing (and pretty much everything I do), with passion and intensity. Studying every aspect, talking to anyone and everyone who could and would share their knowledge, volunteering, shadowing, and working in any capacity where I could find the time (I was still racing).
Racing and viticulture are two very different animals. In racing, success can be measured in fractions of a second. In viticulture it’s measured in vintages.
Racing requires intensity, pushing hard and making things happen. Viticulture requires cultivating patience through submitting to the process. My yin and yang. Forces that are opposite yet complementary.
All of this got me thinking, “How can I symbolically bring the two forces together?” The idea hit me for ‘The Legacy Series’. Blending three decades of glimpses behind the cars that steered me to where I am now, together with a beautiful, bold wine that embodies the true spirit of determination and commitment-to-excellence that each require. Both in their own unique way.
This has been an incredibly personal and wonderful project for both Judy and me. We want to thank all of you who have been with us, supported us and cheered for us on this entire journey.
Our hope is that you will enjoy this as much as we have. That you will sip the wine and join us in reflecting upon our journey, as well as your own.
It’s been a heck of a ride so far, made sweeter by all of you.
Cheers,
Scott“Hi to my family at home”

Because of perfect growing conditions, 2023 was a fantastic vintage in Northern California.
This collection contains wines that benefited from that perfection, all producing a remarkably dark color, powerful aromatics, and dense flavors that carry through seamlessly to a long finish. Collectively sharing a firm foundation, endurance and promise, yet each with their own unique nuances. Carefully crafted to pay homage to their LEGACY.
